SmartPath was founded in 2010 when Alok Deshpande left his career at Bain & Company to teach personal finance. The venture was a direct response to the financial crisis with the vision of helping middle class families make better financial choices without selling products. To this day, SmartPath does not affiliate (or generate revenue) from financial products. Instead, SmartPath provides the following:
Financial Education: SmartPath offers 29 unique financial education courses. These courses are delivered live (onsite or webinar) and can be recorded for playback. These sessions consistently receive 90%+ NPS and are considered the best in the industry.
Financial Coaching: SmartPath offers structured telephonic, personalized financial coaching. Employees work with a coach on one of our financial care plans to help them with their most immediate need (e.g., Budget Bootcamp, Home Buying, Debt Paydown, Student Loans, Love & Money, The Baby’s Coming, etc.). These care plans directly address the key life or career events that create financial stress.
SmartPath understands that, when it comes to money, employees need someone to talk to. With that in mind, we use real people to help people (not just an app or bot).
Our proprietary coaching platform and financial ‘care plans’ allow us to directly solve problems ranging from student loans to retirement readiness. Moreover, our dynamic seminars and independence from financial products inspire trust from employees.
