AAIS (American Association of Insurance Services)

AAIS (American Association of Insurance Services), based in Lisle, Illinois, is the only national not-for-profit insurance advisory organization in the U.S. serving the property and casualty (P&C) insurance market. Originating in 1936 as the Mutual Marine Conference, it became TIRB in 1947 and adopted its current name in 1975. AAIS is governed by its member insurance carriers and provides them with policy forms, rating manuals, data and actuarial services, and regulatory compliance guidance. It also serves as a licensed statistical agent in 51 U.S. jurisdictions. AAIS's customers are P&C insurance carriers, not employers or brokers seeking HR/benefits solutions.
