National Jewish Health
National Jewish Health is a non-sectarian, non-profit academic medical center that has been the leading respiratory hospital in the nation for the last 118 years. From its beginnings in 1899, our physicians and scientists have focused on treatment and prevention of the leading public health issues of the day. Our wellness program continues our heritage by addressing the #1 cause of preventable illness and death today – tobacco use.
Effective tobacco cessation requires permanent changes to unhealthy behavior patterns. National Jewish Health has been a leader in guiding healthy behavior change since the mid-1990’s when we launched one of the first disease management programs for asthma. Each year, we help tens of thousands of people across the nation improve their health through our QuitLogix® tobacco cessation program. All proceeds from our wellness program are reinvested into medical and scientific research at National Jewish Health.
QuitLogix is offered to employer groups and health insurance plans as cost-effective programs to improve employee or member health and reduce medical costs. QuitLogix combines personal coaching with nicotine replacement therapy to achieve one of the highest quit smoking rates in the country (over 42% for insured populations).
Each of our programs is built on evidence- based guidelines and clinically-proven interventions for behavior modification, and uses a combination of one-on-one education and support with a health coach, objective feedback from interactive monitoring devices (for weight reduction), medication (for tobacco cessation), and web interaction and social media. Our clients have reported positive ROIs in annual savings ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 their investment in each of these programs.
We offer a private-public partnership QuitLogix program (discount pricing and either a no or low cost setup fee) for companies in the following states: Colorado, Ohio, Montana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wyoming, Vermont, Alabama, and Nevada.
