Our rich history traces all the way back to 1861. From a small set of financial institutions that served northeast Wisconsin, we’ve grown into a leading Midwest bank. The founding of Associated Bank dates to 1970, when three strong banks in Northeast Wisconsin—Kellogg Citizens Bank of Green Bay (established in 1874), Manitowoc Savings Bank (established in 1884) and First National Bank of Neenah (established in 1861)—formed a powerful alliance. Today we are the largest Wisconsin-based bank with roots running deep in our communities.
