Founded in 2002 by Jay Fredkin and Brian Matthews, CABEM Technologies is a Massachusetts-based (Auburndale, MA, with a cybersecurity office in Lexington, KY) custom software company. Its flagship product, Competency Manager, is a configurable workforce competency and compliance platform used to assign, track, approve, and report on training, certifications, credentials, and skills across roles, teams, and locations, with a built-in LMS, automated renewal alerts, and audit-ready reporting. CABEM also offers CJIS Manager (background-check and CJIS-training compliance for law enforcement/government) and a Mentoring Module, plus custom software development and cybersecurity services. Clients span healthcare, manufacturing, government, law enforcement, and higher education.
