Sentara Health Plans is the health plan division of Sentara—a not-for-profit integrated healthcare delivery system with more than 30,000 employees. Today, the health plans of Sentara serve more than one million members throughout Virginia and Florida.
Sentara Health Plans offers a full suite of commercial products including HMO and POS plans, PPO plans, individual and family health plans, employee assistance plans, and plans that serve Medicaid and Medicare populations. We also have account-based plans that pair with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs). Our provider network features approximately 60,000 providers including primary care physicians, specialists, behavioral health providers, and hospitals.
