Allianz Life

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, headquartered in Golden Valley (Minneapolis), Minnesota, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz SE. Tracing its roots to North American Casualty, founded in 1896, the company was renamed Allianz Life in 1993 after Allianz's 1979 acquisition. Allianz Life is a provider of fixed index annuities and registered index-linked annuities (RILAs), as well as indexed universal life insurance, sold nationwide (except New York, served by Allianz Life of NY) through a network of financial professionals. Its affiliate AllianzIM offers buffered ETFs. In 2022, Allianz Life expanded into the employer-sponsored retirement market with its Allianz Lifetime Income+ Annuity for defined contribution plans.
