Equip Health

Equip was founded in 2019 by two female founders, Kristina Saffran, who founded Project Heal, a non-profit that aimed at solving the financial access problem in the eating disorder space, and Dr. Erin Parks, a clinical psychologist who provided eating disorder treatment at UCSD. Equip raised its Series B in February 2022, totaling $75M in funding over three rounds. Equip contracts as an in-network provider with Health Plans/TPAs to provide affordable eating disorder treatment to children and adolescents, with plans to expand to the adult population in mid-2023.
