We know that “prevention is better than cure.” We can achieve lower costs and better outcomes by embracing early detection and comprehensive outreach. Despite the challenges of rising healthcare costs, growing chronic disease rates, and delayed access to care, employers are empowered to seek innovative solutions for a healthier future. Most preventive care programs start and stop with a routine primary care physician visit. EHE Health’s model begins with a comprehensive preventive exam and extends into a continuous engagement strategy supporting physical and mental health year-round.

This week’s webinar showcased an exciting last-minute speaker change, featuring Greg Mansur, the Chief Executive Officer of EHE Health. He revealed how EHE Health helps employers cut costs and boost employee health with year-round care.

About EHE Health

EHE Health is changing the game by making high-quality, evidence-based preventive care accessible, engaging, and impactful. With over a century of expertise and proven outcomes, EHE creates a care model that takes a proactive approach to health, allowing both companies and their employees to thrive while fostering a culture of wellbeing that benefits everyone.

EHE’s digital platform, myEHE, provides 24/7 access to health records, exam results, referral information, and scheduling. This empowers employees to take control of their health year-round. Whether accessing their comprehensive lab results, physician recommendations or booking a coaching session, employees have actionable health insights at their fingertips.

EHEs comprehensive preventive care

Beyond the Annual Physical: A Year-Round Preventive Care Model

Most people are familiar with the annual physical exam. It’s a brief, often rushed visit to a primary care physician (PCP). But EHE Health redefines that experience entirely. Instead of a single touchpoint, EHE delivers a full year of care that begins with a comprehensive in-person exam and continues with personalized follow-ups, coaching, and navigation support.

This comprehensive exam includes all medically recommended screenings and lab tests, from cardiovascular risk scoring and EKGs to mental health evaluations and cancer screenings. These are not just checkbox procedures but are designed to detect “silent symptoms” and identify potential risks before they become costly, life-altering events.

A National Network for Equitable Access

Accessibility is central to EHE’s mission. With over 400 board-certified providers and seven signature clinics located in major metro areas, more than 90% of employees live within driving distance of an EHE facility. In addition to fixed sites, EHE also deploys mobile units and pop-up clinics to reach underserved or remote areas, ensuring that it covers every workforce member.

One of the most compelling aspects of EHE’s model is its data-driven success. In multi-year claims analyses, EHE achieved:

  • 26% fewer ER visits
  • 35% fewer inpatient admissions
  • 44% fewer high-cost claimants
  • 11% lower pharmacy costs
  • 35% lower total medical costs (net of EHE fees)

These results are the outcome of real programs with real employees. The ability to identify risk early and guide individuals to the appropriate care or employer-sponsored programs significantly reduces the downstream costs that come with unmanaged chronic conditions.

Engagement: The Heart of Prevention

Many well-being programs struggle with low participation rates. EHE solves this through a robust “engagement engine” that uses text messages, emails, calls, direct mail, and even on-site events to connect with employees. Personalized outreach based on age, gender, job type, and health history ensures the messaging resonates.

EHE also covers the cost of incentives to boost participation, further removing barriers to care. The result? Industry-leading engagement rates and consistently high patient satisfaction scores (Net Promoter Scores of 83+, far above the much lower averages for primary care providers and national health plans).

After the initial exam, EHE Health Navigation Center provides tailored referrals, coordinates follow-ups, and offers access to expert health coaches who support employees in nutrition, fitness, sleep hygiene, stress management, and chronic condition management.

This level of continuity ensures that health goals aren’t just discussed during the exam, but tracked, supported, and achieved over time. It also enhances participation in existing employer programs, creating a synergistic effect across the company’s entire benefits ecosystem.  Risks are reduced and costs are lowered while employees become more engaged and enjoy a better health care experience.

Seamless Integration, Minimal HR Burden

EHE understands that even the best program must be easy to implement. That’s why their integration with insurance carriers is streamlined. There are no plan design changes, upfront fees, or out-of-pocket costs for members. EHE handles billing through a single diagnosis code and facilitates claims directly through carriers.

Employers can launch the program outside of open enrollment, with full implementation typically completed within 6–8 weeks. This low-friction model reduces administrative strain on HR teams while delivering high ROI.
