Spring Health

Spring Health supports members with substance use disorders through its Specialty Care model, which is designed to identify needs early, connect members to the right level of care, and support sustained engagement over time.

The Substance Use Disorder Program combines Specialty Care Navigators, in-house Specialty Providers, Spring-Certified Partner locations, Medication-Assisted Treatment when clinically appropriate, and a personalized digital care experience. Members receive support for substance use alongside co-occurring mental health needs such as trauma, severe mood and anxiety disorders, and other complex conditions.

Spring Health helps members access care quickly, with Specialty Care provider appointments available in under 2 days on average, compared with a 67-day national average wait for specialty behavioral health care. The program also supports proactive outreach and engagement: 60% of high-risk members enroll in care, compared with a 6% U.S. health plan benchmark, and 72% of members remain engaged at month 6.

Across SUD, trauma, and severe mood and anxiety programs, Spring Health Specialty Care has achieved a 55%+ recovery rate among U.S. members enrolled in care.
