Maintaining Your Data
Shortlister’s experience relies heavily on accurate data. Keep your account data up to date.
The data in your Shortlister account determines when and where your solution appears in search results for consultants and employers who conduct vendor research in our system. Data recency also plays a role, so be sure to review and update your account regularly.
TIP: Assign a team member to manage updates and set a recurring quarterly reminder.
What to Update
- Profile — Your profile is what buyers see when they want to learn about your company. Keep your company details, summary, logo, media (images and videos), and sales materials up to date so they accurately represent who you are and what you offer.
- Products — Your products determine which vendor lists you appear in and power how buyers find and filter you. Keep each product’s details, features, and media accurate and complete, and add or retire products as your offerings change, so you show up where buyers are looking.
- RFI — Your RFI data is available to broker and consultant subscribers after you opt into their RFI. Save time by keeping it complete ahead of any requests that come your way.
- Pay Per Click (PPC) — As your solution and market strategies are adjusted, make sure your paid lead capture programs are set up to help you reach your goals.
- Top Vendor — If you’ve seen growth in a new area or partnered to expand an offering, consider adjusting your Top Vendor elections.
When to Update
We recommend you review your account every quarter and provide an in-depth update, including your RFI, every 6 to 12 months.
Who Can Make Updates
Admin users can update any area of the account. Marketing users can update PPC and Top Vendor, but won’t have access to the Admin section.
